OVERTIME: Dallas Hartman scored on a 6-yard pass from S. Wagner and Bryce Wilson's kick made th 29-22. Aliquippa scored on a 7-yard Patrick run, but the two-point conversion failed, preserving Wilmington's trip to Hershey.
FOURTH-QUARTER UPDATE: Carter's third touchdown of the game, a 16-yard run with 59.6 seconds remaining, tied the count at 22. The touchdown came shortly after Burns gave Wilmington a 22-16 lead on a 68-yard run with 2:57 remaining. Sutton Whiting gave Wilmington a 15-8 lead early in the period with a 7-yard run, followed by Carter's second 1-yard scoring run with 3:17 which gave Aliquippa a brief 16-15 lead.
THIRD-QUARTER UPDATE: Wilmington ties the count at 8-8 when Matt Wagner caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from his cousin, Shane, with 3:13 remaining, capping a 16-yard, 79-yard drive. Wilmington begins the fourth quarter with a third-and-7 at the Aliquippa 24. The Quips had the ball for only three plays in the third quarter.
SECOND-QUARTER UPDATE: Maurice Carter capped the Aliquippa scoring drive with a 1-yard run early in the second period and Terry Patrick's conversion run gave the Quips the lead. Wilmington threatened on the ensuing possession, but turned the ball over after reaching the Aliquippa 24.
FIRST-QUARTER UPDATE: It was a defensive battle in the first 12 minutes of the PIAA Class AA semifinal game. Aliquippa, however, begins the second quarter with a second-and-2 at the Wilmington 17-yard line.
