FOURTH-QUARTER UPDATE: The Red Hurricane defense turned up the heat in the final 12 minutes, securing New Castle's first win over Blackhawk in 22 years.
THIRD-QUARTER UPDATE: New Castle widened its margin in the third quarter when Fleo scored on runs of 1 and 62 yards, giving him four touchdowns on the night.
SECOND-QUARTER UPDATE: Fleo's second touchdown run of the game — this one from 62 yards out — gave New Castle its first lead. The Red Hurricane widened the margin to 12 when Johnny Matarazzo hooked up with Darrian Rice for a 40-yard scoring strike in the final minute of the half.
FIRST-QUARTER UPDATE: New Castle's Justin Fleo's 1-yard run with 20 seconds remaining pulled the Red Hurricane close. The conversion kick, however, was blocked, leaving New Castle on the short end of a 7-6 count. Blackhawk's touchdown came on an 8-yard run by Christian Mulig with 5:32 remaining.
