FOURTH-QUARTER UPDATE: Hickory closed the gap to seven on Coleman's third touchdown — a 41-yard fumble return — but never threatened after that.
THIRD-QUARTER UPDATE: After Hickory tied the count on Nardone's 27-yard pass to Davon Tindall, Wilmington stormed back, scoring on runs of 1 yard by Cody Llewellyn and 2 yards from Donati — his second of the game — and the Greyhounds lead 35-21.
SECOND-QUARTER UPDATE: Patton's 7-yard touchdown jaunt with 26.2 seconds remaining gives Wilmington a 21-14 intermission lead. Tyler Donati tied the count at 14-14 with 9:22 remaining on a 3-yard run.
FIRST-QUARTER UPDATE: DeShawn Coleman scored a pair of touchdowns, staking Hickory to a seven-point lead. Coleman scored on a 63-yard pass from Michael Nardone and a 56-yard run. Sandwiched in between was a 33-yard touchdown run by Wilmington's Alex Patton.
