FOURTH-QUARTER UPDATE: Wilmington put the game away with a pair of touchdowns early in the frame. Pugh scored on an 8-yard run — his third of the game — and Patton scored on a 5-yard run — his second. Wanya Smith-Austin caught a 21-yard scoring strike from Rodgers to close out the scoring for Sharon.
THIRD-QUARTER UPDATE: The two teams exchanged touchdowns after the break. Donati's 7-yard scamper with 8:02 remaining put Wilmington up 35-7, but Nate Jacoway countered with a 4-yard pass from Rodgers late in the frame.
SECOND-QUARTER UPDATE: Nic Pugh scored a pair of touchdowns in the final two minutes of the first half, giving the 'Hounds a three-touchdown lead. Pugh scored on a 4-yard run and a 14-yard pass from Cody Llewellyn after the defense forced a three-and-out. Llewellyn also hooked up with Patton for a two-point conversion after Pugh's first score.
FIRST-QUARTER UPDATE: Tyler Donati and Alex Patton scored on short runs to give Wilmington an early lead. Donati opened the scoring on a 7-yard scamper and then, after Jesse Rodgers tied the score for Sharon with a 4-yard run, Patton regained the lead for the Greyhounds with a 6-yard run.
