The Wilmington High football team racked up 446 yards in total offense in a 28-7 District 10, Region 1-A win over Reynolds.
The host Greyhounds (3-1 region, 4-1 overall) finished with 292 yards on the ground and 154 through the air in last night’s game.
Wilmington jumped out to a 7-0 advantage on a 6-yard run by Kyle Slicker. James Gardner added the first of four point-after kicks.
The Greyhounds extended their lead to 14-0 at the half on quarterback Cody Llewellyn’s 6-yard run.
Jacob Sotter scored on a 17-yard run in the third period for Wilmington and Spencer DeMedal put the game out of reach in the fourth with a 5-yard scamper.
DeMedal led all rushers with 96 yards on 14 carries.
Sotter added 78 yards on 11 carries and Slicker tacked on 74 yards on 13 tries.
Llewellyn was 7 of 13 through the air for 143 yards.
Reynolds slipped to 0-4 and 2-4.
Wilmington travels to Hickory on Friday night for a nonregion pairing of powers.
