Lancers headed back to playoffs

The Neshannock High football team clinched its fourth-straight WPIAL playoff berth in a 26-20 victory over visiting Rochester in a Big Seven matchup on Friday.
The Lancers fell behind early from a DeSean Sheron 54-yard score, but responded with 26 straight points.
Neshannock quarterback Frank Antuono did all he could in the win, running for 181 yards and two scores, from 79 and 13 yards, and throwing for 113 yards and another touchdown. Running back Robert Lindsey caught the pass for the nine-yard score.
Danny Welker had the other touchdown, a nine-yard rush.
Neshannock outgained Rochester 429-319 in total yards and 316-186 in rushing yards.
The Lancers are 5-1, 6-1 while Shenango High graduate Gene Matsook’s Rams are 2-4, 3-4.
Neshannock faces off against Chartiers-Houston in a nonsection match 7 p.m. next Friday.
