Meyers leads Ellwood past Riverside

Junior Jared Meyers rushed for 290 yards on 22 carries in Ellwood City Lincoln’s 42-28 victory at Riverside.
Last night’s Midwestern Athletic Conference win was the first for the Wolverines (1-3 in the conference, 1-4 overall). The Panthers also are 1-3 and 1-4.
Meyers scored the first four touchdowns of the game, on runs of 24, 5, 2 and 8 yards. Beau Ewing chipped in with 148 yards on 14 carries.
The teams combined for nearly 1,000 yards of total offense, with Ellwood coming up with 533 and the Panthers 440.
The Wolverines were up 28-0 when Riverside scored three staight times to get back into the game. But Ewing’s 8-yard run late sealed the win.
