’Cats hold on against Riverview

Tyler Welsh scored on a 3-yard third-quarter run and Shenango made it stand up in a 22-15 win over Riverview.
The Wildcats improved to 3-3 with last night’s nonconference win on the road. Riverview fell to 1-5.
Welsh led Shenango with 94 yards rushing on 21 carries and Anthony Prestopine chipped in with 76 yards on 15 attempts.
Quarterback Brian Tanner scored the Wildcats’ first touchdown on a 1-yard run in the second quarter. Matt Pherson added the second TD with no time left on the clock before halftime on a 31-yard pass from Tanner.
