Seton-La Salle too much for Mohawk

The Mohawk High football team had no answer for Luke Brumbaugh last night.
The Seton-La Salle quarterback completed 13 of 20 pass attempts for 207 yards in the Rebels’ 35-0 nonconference shutout of Mohawk.
Seton-La Salle is 7-1, while the Warriors are 2-6. Mohawk has a chance to clinch a WPIAL Class AA playoff berth with a win next week at New Brighton.
Brumbaugh, who came into the game with 1,248 yards passing and 14 touchdowns, found Lou Rotunda nine times through the air for 163 yards.
Nick Sywys scored the winners’ first two touchdowns on runs of 3 and 2 yards before Brumbaugh and Rotunda hooked up for the next two to all-but put the game out of reach at halftime, 27-0.
Tom Rizza scored the final TD on a 4-yard run to put the mercy rule into effect with 11:13 remaining in the third quarter. Rizza finished with 88 yards on 15 carries.
The Warriors managed just 76 yards in total offense.
Shane McFarland paced Mohawk with 46 yards rushing on 13 carries and Austin Main added 41 on six.
Main also returned a kickoff 59 yards and Zach Shasteen added a 50-yard interception return.
