North Catholic too stong for Mohawk

The Mohawk High football team had a rough go of it at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic on Friday night.
The Warriors dropped a 54-6 decision in WPIAL Class 2A Midwestern Conference action.
The loss dropped Mohawk to 0-2 in the conference, 0-2 overall. North Catholic is now 1-1 and 1-1.
North Catholic led 14-0 after one quarter and 33-0 at the half. By the end of the third period, the Trojans were on top, 47-0.
The Warriors got on the board with 4:30 left on a 12-yard touchdown run by sophomore Braydon Cameron.
Cameron finished with 85 yards rushing on 11 carries. Jaydon Johnson was next with 48 yards on six attempts.
Johnson was 8 of 16 through the air for 108 yards with three interceptions.
Parker Lyons caught six passes for 85 yards and Mason McKinley grabbed three for 41 yards for the Warriors.
Mohawk hosts Riverside at 7 p.m. next Friday night in a conference tilt.
