It was a night to remember for Tre'von Charles.
The junior running back rang up 217 yards on the ground on eight carries in the Union High football team's 30-0 non-conference rout over visiting Jefferson-Morgan on Friday night.
It was the first win of the season for the Scotties after three losses. Jefferson-Morgan dropped to 0-4.
Union rolled up 339 rushing yards and 449 yards in total offense.
The Scotties took a 6-0 lead early on an 8-yard first-quarter run by senior Rissaun McKnight.
Union made it 12-0 when McKnight took a 30-yard pass from freshman Tyler Benedict, then added another score before the half on a 15-yard run by Charles.
Charles tacked on a 60-yard TD run in the third quarter. Freshman Michael Flowers added a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter to close out the scoring.
Flowers finished with 52 yards rushing on five carries.
Benedict was 6 of 12 through the air for 110 yards. He threw one interception.
Jamil Williams caught three passes for 35 yards. Charles snagged a pair of passes for 45 yards.
"It was a good night for us," Union coach Stacy Robinson said. "Charles, McKnight and the entire offensive line played well. Our pass protection was excellent. Tyler Benedict is getting better each week.
"Hopefully we'll continue to play like this."
Union hosts Western Beaver at 7 p.m. next Friday night.
