BEAVER FALLS — Big plays paved the way in Beaver Falls High’s 43-7 Midwestern Athletic Conference victory over Ellwood City Lincoln last night.
The Tigers (3-0 MAC, 3-0 overall) opened with a 24-yard run by Rob Bell, then added a 49-yard pass from Dan Stratton to Sage Curry and a 70-yard punt return by Elijah Cottrill, all before the first quarter ended.
Two second-quarter scores padded the Tigers’ margin to 36-0 and they added a final third-quarter TD before the Wolverines reached the pay station on a 25-yard pass from Brandon Magnifico to Christian Sarver. Five players scored TDs for Beaver Falls, who had no 100-yard rushers.
Ellwood City, which managed just 80 total yards, dropped to 0-3 and 0-3.
